CORNWALL, Ontario – Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a two-car collision on Brookdale Avenue on Wednesday morning.

Cornwall police and paramedics were at the scene of the crash which happened just before 9:00 a.m.

A silver Grand Prix was heading north on Brookdale Avenue when it collided with a small red car turning left going east on Thirteenth Street.

A witness at the scene said at least one person could be seen being taken away from the accident on a stretcher.

“Both vehicles sustained severe front-end damage in what appeared to be a head-on collision,” he said.

Additional paramedics were at the scene because EMS used the accident to help augment their training, Cornwall Police Cst. Dan Cloutier said.

The accident is still under police investigation.
