GREASE IS THE WORD: Holy Trinity goes live with musical
Meaghan Brody (Sandy Olsson) and Ben Joseph (Danny Zuko) have landed the lead roles for Holy Trinity Secondary School's performance of Grease.

CORNWALL, Ontario – Ben Joseph and Meagan Brody are ready for the biggest performance of their academic lives – but are you?

The pair of Holy Trinity students have the lead roles in Grease, the collaborative efforts between all the arts programs at the high school.

The music (teacher Andrea Decouer), dance (Alanna Pollard) and drama (Jim Malyon) programs are combining efforts with visual arts (Melyssa Burke) to create Grease that will run May 21 to 23 at the school at 7 p.m.

Joseph will play tough guy Danny Zuko while Brody has landed to role of Sandy Olsson.

Both agreed they’re looking forward to the performance.

Teacher Andrea DeCouer said both the performers and the audience will see some subtle differences between the live action musical and the late 1970s movie that made Grease famous.

“Some of the songs are a little different,” she said. “But the kids are really getting into it.”

There about 25 students that will hit the stage for the performance, which also includes a live pit band. Countless others are helping out behind the scenes.

Tickets for the show are $10 and can be purchased at the door prior to each night’s performance.
