BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Local resident, 29, was arrested on August 26th, 2022 and charged with breach of probation for attending a certain business. It is alleged on August 26th, 2022, police were called to investigate a suspicious person at a Second Street business and located the woman in breach of her conditions. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 29th, 2022.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Local resident, 44, was arrested on August 26th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 26th, 2022, the woman took a flashlight and shears from someone she did not know. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 4th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 27th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on August 26th, during an altercation with his wife, the man assaulted her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 13th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 28th, 2022 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged the woman had repeatedly contacted her ex-boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On August 28th, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 13th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000 X 2

Cornwall, ON – Local resident, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on August 28th, 2022 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on August 24th, 2022, the man stole two purses from individuals he did not know, while in the area of the East Court Mall, as well as the Cornwall Square. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 28th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 4th, 2022.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 28th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on August 28th, the youth took a bicycle from another youth he did not know and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Local resident, 64, of Cornwall was arrested on August 28th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 28th, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol when she struck another vehicle in the area of Thirteenth Street and Pitt Street. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 20th, 2022.
