FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF, CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, ASSAULT A PEACE OFFICER

 Cornwall, ON – Ashley Belanger-Boudrias, 26, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 3, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Causing a disturbance
  • Assault a peace officer

It is alleged on May 3, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman damaged property at a business and caused a disturbance. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, and while being taken into custody, allegedly assaulted a police officer. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 13, 2024.

 

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Michelle David, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 3, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 7, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 3, 2024, while police were dealing with a separate matter, the woman was located. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 Cornwall, ON – Olivia Legue, 19, of Cardinal, ON, was arrested on May 3, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On May 3, 2024, police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Seventh Street West and York Street. The woman was located and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed she was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 21, 2024.

 

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Justin Pawis-Lepage, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 4, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 4, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.

 

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 4, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order.  It is alleged on April 17, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend or her immediate family and to not be within 100 metres of any place his ex-girlfriend is known to live, work or frequent. It is alleged on this date, the man was in contact with his ex-girlfriend’s son. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 4, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, chargedaccordingly and released to appear in court on June 15, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

 

WARRANT

 Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Akwesasne was arrested on May 5, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 15, 2024, the youth was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. Furthermore, it is alleged on April 25, 2024, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 5, 2024, police responded to a disturbance call and an investigation ensued. The youth was located and the warrant was executed. She was released to appear in court on June 20, 2024. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Timothy MacInnis, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 5, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 7, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 5, 2024, police responded to a theft complaint. The man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Summerstown youth was arrested on May 6, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of domestic assault
  • Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic

It is alleged on May 4, 2024, the youth assaulted his girlfriend. Furthermore, it is alleged on May 5, 2024, the youth assaulted and choked his girlfriend and made threats to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 6, 2024, the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Bourdeau, 49, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 6, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on May 6, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not have any contact with a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On May 6, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was in contact with the individual he was prohibited from being in contact with. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

POSSESSION OF FIREARM OR AMMUNITION CONTRARY TO PROHIBITION ORDER, FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON, CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 6, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Five counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Five counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Carrying concealed weapon

It is alleged on May 6, 2024, the man was bound by separate prohibition orders with the relevant condition to not possess any prohibited weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. Furthermore, it is alleged the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons. On May 6, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was in contact with the individual he was prohibited from being in contact with. The investigation also revealed the man was allegedly in possession of a weapon. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

FAIL TO COMPLY, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER 

Cornwall, ON – Curtis Griffith, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 6, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and obstruct peace officer. On May 6, 2024, police responded to an unwanted person call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on May 6, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The man was located and while being taken into custody, allegedly obstructed a peace officer. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

IMITATION FIREARM, POSSESSION OF IMITATION WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Kelly Morey, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on May 6, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Imitation firearm – use while committing offence
  • Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on May 6, 2024, the woman pointed a weapon at an individual known to her and made threats to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on June 20, 2024.

ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT, CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE CAUSING BODILY HARM, OBSTRUCT JUSTICE

Cornwall, ON – In June 2023, the CPS charged a man with 13 sexual offences. Please see the original article from July 13, 2023, below:

MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH 13 SEXUAL OFFENCES 

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 11, 2023 and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of sexual assault
  • Two counts of sexual exploitation
  • Two counts of voyeurism
  • Make child pornography
  • Possession of child pornography
  • Two counts of administer noxious thing
  • Two counts of overcome resistance by administering a drug

It is alleged between 2012-20, the man administered a stupefying drug to his step-daughter and sexually assaulted the female while she was between the ages of 16-24. The man is also alleged to have taken intimate photos of the female without her knowing. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 11, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 15, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

As a result of these charges, members of the Criminal Investigation Division conducted a follow-up investigation, which resulted in a 49-year-old woman from Cornwall being arrested on May 6, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of accessory after the fact to commit an offence
  • Criminal negligence causing bodily harm
  • Obstruct justice

It is alleged in 2015, the woman was made aware of the photos of her daughter on her husband’s electronic device and in 2017, caught her husband taking intimate photos of her. It is also alleged the woman attempted to deter her daughter from contacting police. As a result of this investigation, it is alleged between Jan. 1, 2015, and June 9, 2023, the woman failed to protect her daughter from the ongoing abuse. On May 6, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 6, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
