Walk Held on Anniversary of Paul Bellemore’s Disappearance

On the one-year anniversary of Cornwall local Paul Bellemore’s disappearance on August 2, 2022, family and friends took a short walk starting from the spot in the parking lot of the Cornwall Civic Complex where his car was found abandoned.

The walk had a great turnout showing support for the family, who are still seeking answers and closure. Several dozen balloons were released outside the Civic Complex before the group went on a walk led by Bellemore’s mother.

Paul Bellemore, 43, was last seen on July 29th, 2022. According to the Cornwall Police Service, Bellemore is described as 5’11” in height and approximately 160 lbs. Bellemore has green eyes, balding short brown hair and was last seen possibly wearing a light coloured t-shirt with shorts, grey Harley hat and blue camo sandals.

Several searches were conducted in the months following Paul’s disappearance and pleas on social media for information leading to Bellemore’s whereabouts have still not led to results.

Bellemore’s sister Chantal Dupuis said that the August 2nd walk was heart wrenching.

“My parents thought it was beautiful,” Dupuis shared, saying that they are grateful for the support of family, friends, and strangers who have been following the mission person’s case.

“I’m not giving up until we find my brother.”

Cornwall Police Service and the OPP are still actively working on this investigation and following new leads as they come in.

While Chantal and her brother, Pierre, have received several disturbing tips about their brother’s disappearance, some of these individuals have not wanted to come forward to police. The family urges individuals with information to contact Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.

Individuals with any information concerning the whereabouts of Paul Bellemore, are encouraged to call CPS dispatch at 613-933-5000 ext. 2418.
