Passed away at Versa Care Centre on Saturday, January 31, 2009, age 98 years. Beloved wife of the late John Orr Roy. Dear mother of Sharon Price (Ronnie) of Long Sault, Ontario and Joyce Dalgleish (late Robert) of Cornwall, Ontario. Sadly missed by her 3 grandchildren, Christine Dalgleish of Cornwall, Jamie (Nicole) of Calgary, Alberta, Carrie Price-Bugajski (Norbert) of Carleton Place and 5 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Alexander and Zoe Bugajski, Nathan and Bryn Price. Loved daughter of the late John Alexander and Hattie Maria Morrison of Glen Nevis, Ontario. Predeceased by her sisters, Mary Margaret and Maria Edgar Morrison, brothers Clarence and John Lewis Morrison. Memorial Service in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Feb. 3. Spring Interment in St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery, Bainsville, Ontario.

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, Cornwall, Ontario on Friday, January 30, 2009, age 58 years. Dear daughter of the late Archie McDougald and the late Florence O’Neil. Dear sister of Kenneth of Calgary, Alberta, Donald (Doreen) and Douglas (Leona) of Cornwall, Frank (Karen) of Green Valley, Ontario and Joe (Leone) of Glen Walter, Ontario. Survived by many nieces and nephews and lifetime friend, Yolande Sauve. Predeceased by her loving companion, Gilles Bourdon and one brother, Ronald McDougald. Cremation in South Branch Crematorium, Cornwall. Funeral was held in Precious Blood Church, Glen Walter on Feb. 5. Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Friday, January 30, 2009, age 82 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to the former Marion Killoran. Loved father of Colleen Grant (Russell) and Rolland Besner (Monica), both of Cornwall, Ontario and the late John Paul Besner Jr. Sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren, Katrina, Krista, Dana, Jarrod, Stephan, Melanie, Halley and Johnny and his 5 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Cameron, Zoée, Wyatt and Kale. Loved son of the late Wilfrid and Albina (Lalande) Besner. Dear brother of Annette Marion (late Edgar), Noëlla Jalbert (late Rolland) and Madeleine Miron (Hubert), all of Cornwall. Passed away at the Community Care Nursing Home in Alexandria, Ontario, on Thursday, January 29, 2009. Mr. Roger Henry Joseph Daigle, born in North Cobalt, Ontario, age 77 years. He leaves his loving wife of 57 years, Georgette Laura (Tremblay) Daigle, four sons, Roger (Rosalind), Philippe (Sherry), Mark (Deborah), Alain (Lori) and five daughters, Jocelyne Cameron (Ian), Lise Irwin (Paul), Elaine, Marie-Anne Proulx (Luc) and Nicole Rose. He will be sadly missed by 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Survived by two brothers, John (Sylvia), Conrad (Lena), two sisters, Theresa Grant (Ken) and Isabelle Andre (Leo). Passed away in Alexandria, Ontario, on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Mr. Fred T. Meredith, born on February 13, 1924 in Cookshire, Quebec. Fred, a larger-than-life character, retired Air Canada pilot, devoted father to David, Brent and Paula, soul mate to Anna (née Johnson) and the late Elizabeth (née Goad) and “Daddy” to his adored Babe. A celebration of Fred’s life was held at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Alexandria on Jan. 31.
