Heat Warning for Cornwall and area
Heat Wave Hits Cornwall - Eastern Canada

UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – Environment Canada issued a Heat Warning for Cornwall and the surrounding area on Wednesday, July 10.

“Temperatures in the low thirties are expected this afternoon, with humidex values in the upper thirties,” reads the Warning from Environment Canada. “Minimum temperatures tonight will be near 20 degrees Celsius, providing little relief from the heat. Temperatures on Thursday afternoon will once again reach into the low thirties.”

Temperatures are expected to drop on Thursday night and stay lower on Friday.

According to The Weather Network temperatures are supposed to peak on Wednesday afternoon at around 35 degrees with the humidity. On Thursday afternoon, temperatures will hit as high as 40 degrees with the humidity and thunderstorms are expected.
