South Glengarry Welcomes New Waterfront Eatery
SOUTH LANCASTER, ONTARIO – The Perch and Paddle Pub’s grand opening attracted a full house of foodies on June 23, 2023, including MP Eric Duncan, MPP Nolan Quinn, and Township of South Glengarry Council Members. Local dignitaries gathered with Weaving Baskets Group’s (WBG) hospitality team, Vice-President Tom Hughes, Director of Hospitality Ian Bentley, Executive Chef Luc McCabe, and Executive Sous Chef Mark Murray, in a ribbon-cutting to mark the occasion. Presentations of congratulatory certificates followed.
WBG’s hospitality team developed an exciting contemporary menu, while newly renovated indoor and patio seating provided patrons with exceptional views of the St. Lawrence River. “They say that dreams only work when you do,” said South Glengarry Mayor McDonald. “Congratulations to the Perch and Paddle Pub on their grand opening and best to their future success.”
The elaborate opening included tastings from Cameron’s Brewery and Nutrl Vodka, with live music headlined by The Loveseats. “Expect a flavour-forward lineup and elevated offerings ranging from our Perch Tostada to our Lobster Mac n’ Cheese, and our Wild Game Sliders to our AAA Canadian Ribeye,” said Tom Hughes, WBG’s Vice President. “Whether someone is coming in for a midday bite, for dinner after a day on the river, or for a special night out, we’ll have something they’ll enjoy.”
