Rash of Cornwall break-ins ends in the arrest of four men

CORNWALL, Ontario – A quartet of men have been picked up by police for a rash of break-ins in the north end of Cornwall.

Police said the men were arrested in relation to break-ins at homes in the Ellen Avenue, Emma Avenue, Cumberland Street and Lisieux Avenue areas this summer where a variety of items were stolen.

Scott Robinson, 19 of Cornwall who was being held in Montreal on Montreal police charges was arrested by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service in Montreal on Oct. 21st and charged with:

  • Break and enter x2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x6
  • Breach of Recognizance x8
  • Breach of Probation x3

He was held for a bail hearing on Oct. 22.

Dylan Jarvis, 21 of Cornwall was arrested in Montreal by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service on Aug. 26 and charged with:

  • Break and enter X 2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2
  • Breach of Probation x6

Jarvis is remanded in court pending the proceedings.

Brandon Chenier,19 of Dalkeith was arrested in Montreal by members of the Cornwall Community Police Service on  Aug. 26 and charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Breach of Probation

He was released to appear in court at a later date.

Michael Chenier, 45 of Dalkeith was arrested at his residence in Dalkeith on Sept. 3 and charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Obstruct justice
  • Counselling indictable offence which is not committed – Laundering Money

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
