CORNWALL, Ontario – A city woman publicly shamed her common-law boyfriend at a local bar by throwing a drink in his face, according to Cornwall police.

But it’s what happened next that delivers a serious reminder to men: a scorned woman shows no mercy.

The incident took place on Sunday, June 29.

Police said the 26-year-old woman proceeded to rip his shirt open leaving scratches on his neck and chest.

The lovers quarrel didn’t stop there. It just switched spots.

She later accompanied him to his residence and – no surprise here – an argument erupted.

The woman started head-butting him in the mouth and punching him in the face when he attempted to restrain her from causing damage within his residence.

Then she bolted from the scene.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assaults.

Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted.

The woman turned herself in at the police station on Thursday, July 3.

She was charged with two counts of domestic assault and one count of domestic mischief.

The woman was released to appear in court on August 12.

Her name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
