INGLESIDE, Ontario – The shared Friendship, Fellowship and dreams of Elise Francis and Trish Messervey lead to a shared space for two new stores in the area. On Saturday October 8th the owners of The Village Green Flower Shop and Under His Grace Christian Gift Store held the grand opening of their stores at 15 Dickinson Dr. Unit 1b in Ingleside.

The women met years ago in a Winchester park. They discovered they had a lot in common. Messervey said, “We had similar dreams and she (Francis) too wanted to share the gift of God’s Word.”

Francis explained how her parents had purchased The Village Green Flower Shop in Morrisburg. She worked there and developed a passion for working with flowers. Although the business was sold, she said “The name The Village Green Flower Shop was reclaimed.”

Both Francis and Messervey wanted a store front. They knew having a dual business was a smart business move.

Deputy Mayor, Tammy Hart and Councillor David Smith helped welcome the new business to the area by participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony. Friends and family gathered to celebrate and enjoy the refreshments and sweets, while The Gallagher Family (thegallaghers.ca) provided the entertainment.
