PANTHERS WIN: Hundreds of hockey fans roar for Bishop’s Cup

CORNWALL, Ontario – Hundreds of high school hockey fans invaded the Ed Lumley Arena Thursday night for the 10th edition of the popular Bishop’s Cup.

The hockey showdown between Holy Trinity and St. Joseph’s Catholic secondary schools celebrated the milestone with plenty of pomp and circumstance.

Oh yah, and a hockey game. Not surprisingly the St. Joe’s Panthers won it going away: 8-1.

The Panthers have won the last four Bishop Cup games, including a 9-1 victory in 2015, and have taken six of nine overall.

The event has raised more than $30,000 for charity since its inception.
