CORNWALL, Ontario – All lanes of Hwy 401 were blocked on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 10 after an accident involving a tractor trailer.
The accident occurred at around 3 p.m. between Power Dam Dr. and Brookdale Ave. on the Westbound Hwy 401.
The accident involved a single overturned tractor trailer.
The OPP told Seaway News in an interview that there were no injuries and that as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, they expected the accident to be shortly cleared.
In the mean time, all traffic was diverted off the highway to the Emergency Detour Routes (EDR) on Cornwall Centre Rd. and Old Hwy 2.
