CORNWALL, Ontario – As of Sunday, Aug. 19, part of Brookdale Ave. has been reduced to one lane and will remain that way until Sept. 2019.

As a part of the Brookdale Ave. CN bridge rehabilitation project, Brookdale Ave. has been reduced to one lane between Tollgate Rd. and Hwy. 401.

Traffic flow on that section of road will be controlled by temporary traffic lights.

“Lane closure is required for the completion of work on the bridge, to accommodate the contractor’s equipment & to ensure the safety of both workers and the public,” reads a tweet from the City of Cornwall Twitter account.

According to the City of Cornwall Twitter account, the lane closure will be in place until December, and then will resume in April.
